Town of Concord

 

The regular monthly meeting of the Town of Concord was called to order by Ted Mueller, Chairman, with Lloyd Zastrow, Kim Herro, Brian Neumann and Jim Zastrow present. Ted led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Brian Neumann certified that the meeting had been properly posted. There was a motion by Lloyd Zastrow and seconded by Kim Herro to accept the agenda as presented.      Affirmative: TM, LZ, KH        Opposed: None           Motion Carried

Brian Neumann read the minutes from the May Board Meetings.  There was a motion by Ted Mueller and seconded by Kim Herro to accept the minutes with corrections.     Affirmative: TM, LZ, KH       Opposed: None            Motion Carried

Chief Flood from the Sullivan Fire Department gave a verbal report. Highlights from the report were:

  • The new rapid response vehicle is now in service
  • 74 calls YTD 2023. We had 84 in 2022 and 96 in 2021 for the entire year. We are busy!
  • Response time is just under 6 mins
  • 4 new fire fighters passed certification

Jim Zastrow read from his written report that there is a balance of $11,146.32 in the General Fund, $157,013.09 in the Money Market Account, $20,505.36 in the Equipment Fund, and $15,906.59 in the Highway Reserve. There was a motion by Lloyd Zastrow and seconded by Kim Herro to accept the Treasurer’s Report as read.     Affirmative: TM, LZ, KH        Opposed: None           Motion Carried

There was a motion by Kim Herro and seconded by Lloyd Zastrow to pay the bills presented.            Affirmative: TM, LZ, KH            Opposed: None       Motion Carried

Brian Neumann presented correspondence for the month highlighted by:

  • Senior Memorial Donation of $400 to help pay for the heating and A/C in Senior Room
  • Charter Spectrum Fiber Optics work in Town
  • County Road Aid and County Bridge Aid program is discontinued

Ted Mueller gave an update that Richter Air will be here to install the new unit for the Board Room on 6/14.

There was a motion made by Lloyd Zastrow and seconded by Kim Herro to install two hidden driveway signs on Pioneer Drive near N5664.   Affirmative: TM, LZ, KH         Opposed: None       Motion Carried

There was a motion made by Ted Mueller and seconded by Lloyd Zastrow to accept the bid from Trees Unlimited to remove tree stumps using ARPA fund money.      Affirmative: TM, LZ, KH        Opposed: None Motion Carried

There was a motion made by Ted Mueller and seconded by Kim Herro to approve the liquor license for Concord Inn, Jonathan Kohlmetz as well as the liquor license and tobacco license for both Patti’s Concord House, John E. Bender and Concord Station, LLC, Mike Herro.          Affirmative: TM, LZ, KH        Opposed: None Motion Carried

There was a motion made by Ted Mueller and seconded by Lloyd Zastrow to approve the operator’s licenses for:   Concord Inn:  Colleen Latsch, Saige Schellinger, Amy Gerdes, Miranda Aleman and Denise Koepp.  Concord House: John E Bender.    Concord Station: Sam Stache, Jennifer Bader, JoAnn Stiemke, Jacob Sabella-Fantl, Kimberly Becker, Jarred Ingersoll, Adrianne Bader.       Affirmative: TM, LZ, KH         Opposed: None Motion Carried

With no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by Ted Mueller and seconded by Lloyd Zastrow.  Affirmative: TM, LZ, KH        Opposed: None           Motion Carried
