The regular monthly meeting of the Town of Concord was called to order by Ted Mueller, Chairman, with Kim Herro, Lloyd Zastrow and Brian Neumann present. Ted led the assembly in the Pledge of Allegiance.

 

Brian Neumann certified that the meeting had been properly posted. There was a motion by Kim Herro and seconded by Lloyd Zastrow to accept the agenda as presented with flexibility.

Representatives from Johnson Creek School District gave a verbal report on the upcoming referendum.

 

The Assistant Fire Chief Calvin Sauer of Ixonia and Mark Gross the County Supervisor gave a verbal report to the Board.

 

Brian Neumann read the minutes from the September Board Meetings.  There was a motion by Lloyd Zastrow and seconded by Kim Herro to accept the minutes as read.     Affirmative: TM, KH, LZ             Opposed: None       Motion Carried

 

There was a motion by Lloyd Zastrow to approve the Dennis Stair request to rezone from A-1 to A-3 to create a 1.67 acre lot along Bakertown Drive. The motion did not receive support. Dennis told the board he would regroup on his next steps and let the board know how he would like them to proceed.

 

Brian Neumann read the proposed amendment to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan. There was a motion by Kim Herro and seconded by Ted Mueller to adopt the ordinance to amend the Comprehensive Land Use Plan based upon the outcome of the public hearing.

Brian Neumann read from Jim Zastrow’s written report that there is a balance of $8,683.26 in the General Fund, $183,234.07 in the Money Market Account, $2,507.27 in the Equipment Fund, and $122,428.31 in the Highway Reserve.

 

There was a motion by Ted Mueller and seconded by Lloyd Zastrow to accept the Treasurer’s Report as read.     Affirmative: TM, KH, LZ        Opposed: None           Motion Carried

DuWayne Hunt, Highway Foreman, gave a verbal report to the board. Highlights included mowing roadsides, parks and cemeteries, signs and patching. The crew also worked on the park pavilion.

 

The Board set Oct 28th at 7 PM as the budget planning meeting and Nov 18th at 7 PM as the budget hearing meeting.

 

With no further business, a motion to adjourn was made by Kim Herro and seconded by Ted Mueller. Affirmative: TM, KH, LZ        Opposed: None           Motion Carried
